Detailed Description
The Turkish getup is a multi-step movement that works the full body. It starts with the kettlebell on the ground. Then through a series of movements the kettlebell ends pressed straight above a standing position. It then reverses back to the ground.
This move can also be done with a dumbbell and old time strong men used it as a staple exercise.
The kettlebell version was popularized by Pavel Tsatsouline in the book Simple and Sinister. Many kettlebell enthusiasts do the simple and sinister workout that consists of just two exercises: kettlebell swings and Turkish get-ups.
