Detailed Description
The Cross Bow Draw is much like the canoe bow draw. However, sometimes you don't have time to switch hands to do a bow draw on the opposite side of the canoe because you need to turn faster than you had anticipated. This is especially true in whitewater canoeing.
The disadvantage of the cross bow draw is that it is a less powerful and less stable position than a normal bow draw. But with some practice it can be very effective and very quick to initiate when starting from the opposite side of the canoe.
