Detailed Description
Put your head up off the ground with yoga blocks or a box or something. This will make your hands have to engage more in balancing and will put your hips closer to the position they will eventually be in for a handstand press.

Note you can start with a super short head elevation and then incrementally use bigger boxes until your head is almost all the way up to where it would be with a handstand press.
